Daily Devotional Entry#35:

I Will See- “For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth; And after my skin is destroyed, this I know, That in my flesh I shall see God, Whom I shall see for myself, And my eyes shall behold, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!” Job 19: 25-27 (NKJV)

Q & A?:

What eternal values can you bring into your days?

My answer:

When I read Job's words—"For I know that my Redeemer lives"—my heart catches. He said that when he was at his absolute lowest, stripped of everything, facing ridicule, and with his body failing. His declaration wasn't a wish; it was a profound knowing, a truth that no circumstance could ever shake. It's a raw, unfiltered statement of a truth that exists beyond what we can see or feel in the moment.

This is the very essence of the eternal values we can carry into our everyday lives. It's about living from a place of unshakeable faith, no matter what shows up on our path.

So, what eternal values can I bring into my days? And how you incorporate it into your daily lives?

First, Unwavering Hope. Job knew his future was secured in his Redeemer, even as his present was in ruins. We can bring this same hope into our own days, trusting that every challenge is part of a larger divine plan. This isn't blind optimism; it's a deep-seated knowing that God is at work, and that our ultimate victory is guaranteed in Him.

Next, Integrity of Purpose. Job's statement was his final word on his character and his faith. He was true to who he was, and his voice was his own. We can live with that same integrity, speaking our truth and walking our purpose even when others don't understand or actively oppose it. It's in the quiet, consistent choice to be obedient to God, even in the "random assignments" He sends our way, that we bring this eternal value to life.

My journey with these values has been a beautiful and complex one. I've had to walk a path that made no sense to others, a divine assignment where I was called to be obedient even in unconventional circumstances. There were times when my ideas, my resources, and even my time felt stolen by others who didn't want to see me succeed. But it was in those moments, feeling pushed to my limits, that I learned what the enemy meant to tear down, God used as a divine test to prove my faith. It showed me that my true value is not in what can be taken, but in the spiritual truths that can never be lost, teaching me to build my foundation on Him alone.

I had to trust in having little to create much. To take what was broken and unwanted and turn it into something abundant and light-bearing. It has been hard and uneasy to communicate these things as clearly as before, but I know my faith will never be shaken. The trials and tribulations from my past—and what I continue to face—have simply been my ultimate test.

Finally, a Focus on the Spiritual Over the Material. Job's greatest comfort was not in the prospect of getting back what he lost. It was in the promise of seeing God face to face. In a world obsessed with material gain and temporary satisfaction, we can bring an eternal focus to our days by prioritizing our spiritual connection over worldly things. It's about remembering that the ultimate prize is not the approval of man or the accumulation of wealth, but the intimate gaze of our Redeemer.

My journey has been a raw testament to this truth. I have learned that the trials and opposition were never meant to destroy me; they were meant to anchor my faith and prove that His vessel, in my flesh, would endure to declare His praises.

Heavenly Father, I lift up every person reading this right now. I pray that they feel Your presence and the same unwavering hope that Job declared. For anyone navigating a difficult path, may they know they are not alone. Show them the eternal purpose in their current trials, and strengthen their resolve to live with integrity and trust in Your ultimate plan. May we all be vessels that declare Your light and truth. Amen.
