Daily Devotional Entry#163:

Application Accepted- “Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.” Ephesians 1: 4 (NKJV)

What areas of your life have you seen completely transformed by Jesus?



My answer:


When I look at my life, the areas Jesus has completely transformed boil down to my unshakeable inner strength and the clear wisdom to protect the peace He's given me. There's no longer any lingering doubt or old insecurities chipping away at me; that's all in the past. Through His grace, I've seen His hand constantly guiding me, shaping me into someone who knows my worth and isn't defined by past wounds or anyone else's opinions. He's brought me to a place of true wholeness and a clear conscience.


My journey now isn't about fighting old battles. It's about moving forward with a heart that knows how to stand firm and protect itself. My heart isn't just "big"; it's what people crave to have and to feel. It's a heart that naturally attracts beautiful things and genuine people. But because of that, it's also something others often fight over, try to kill off, or pretend to possess when they simply don't. It's this heart that God wants me to express fully, and sometimes that's hard because I guess I become too overwhelming sometimes.


And to be clear: I'm never bitter. Sometimes, yeah, I might feel a sharp sting knowing someone tried to play me for a fool, but that feeling passes. It never turns into bitterness that lingers or poisons me. My challenge isn't bitterness; it's simply wishing people wouldn't constantly try to invade my space or cause chaos just to get a reaction out of me.


I trust completely that God always redirects me, and anything or anyone who tries to stand in my way will be spiritually knocked out of my path. My energy isn't wasted defending myself or fighting those pointless battles.


This all traces back to a unique perspective I have on God's call. I believe God runs through applications all day, every day, and somehow, He came across mine. And the entry for that? It was simply "Application Accepted." God accepted me because He knew I would pull myself out of "default mode"—that autopilot way of living—and truly start living a life through His eyes, following His plans. That acceptance set everything in motion, and it continues to guide my every step.


This isn't about having a hardened heart, but a heart that is completely protected and at peace. It's about confidently walking in the space God has created for me, knowing I'm secured by Him.


Dear Heavenly Father,


We come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the incredible transformation You bring into our lives. We are so thankful for the unwavering strength You provide and for teaching us the wisdom to fiercely protect the peace You've established within us. We're grateful that You move us past old insecurities and wounds, constantly showing us our true worth in Your eyes.


Thank You for the hearts You've given us – hearts that naturally attract beautiful things and genuine connections, yet by Your grace, learn not to harbor lasting bitterness, even when faced with unfairness. We pray for continued clarity in setting boundaries, and for Your divine protection from anyone who seeks to invade our space, bring chaos, or attempt to harm our reputation or character.


We stand firm in the knowledge that You always redirect us, and that anything or anyone who tries to block our path will be spiritually removed by Your hand. Our energy isn't spent defending ourselves; we trust in Your perfect timing and justice.


Thank You for choosing us, for accepting us, and for knowing that when called, we would choose to pull ourselves out of "default mode" and truly live through Your eyes, pursuing Your divine plans. This acceptance sets everything in motion.


We ask that You continue to guide us, fortify our spirits, and keep us securely in Your love and purpose, walking confidently in the space You've created for each of us.


Amen.
