Daily Devotional Entry#140:

Papa’s Here -"As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem. When you see this, your heart will rejoice, and you will flourish like grass."- Isaiah 66:13-14

Q & A?:

What does it truly take to let our pain out? And why does it feel so easy, or sometimes so incredibly difficult?

My answer:

Learning to let go of pain has been a journey. There were times it felt incredibly difficult, like a part of me wanted to stay guarded. This was often because trust was a challenging path for me. Past encounters with fakeness and a profound lack of true understanding built walls, making it hard to fully open up.

It's vital to recognize that when others neglect their inner wounds, it can manifest outwardly, much like an untreated ailment. I've come to understand this as a form of spiritually transmitted disease, not something I hoard, but something I can detect because of what I've had to witness and endure from others. This pain, left unaddressed, can lead to impulsive actions, laziness, or a general toxicity that spreads, much like a shadow. Instead of seeking healing, some may become comfortable in these toxic patterns, adding more problems to their lives. I've observed how these energies, sadly, can even be passed down through bloodlines and generations.

But now, it's easier. And I know it wouldn't be this easy if I hadn't first walked through those difficult moments. Those past struggles, those perceived failures, have truly created the momentum for this newfound success. What allows this shift? It's feeling deeply held by an unwavering love – a love that mirrors the unbreakable bond between a parent and child, whether human, spiritual, or even the precious connection we share with our animals. This love doesn't judge; it truly sees me.

Just recently, both our puppies got sick after a snail encounter. What struck me was when our precious girl pup, who reminds us so much of our dear Nala – our animal birth child who passed after giving birth – went from fine to suddenly dazed, and then seemed to help her brother recover. This felt undeniably divinely sent. It was a powerful moment where I believe Nala's spirit came to visit, helping me see what I couldn't and directing me towards the right advisors. This experience truly underscored that even when people try to help, it's vital to fact-check with wisdom and, most importantly, to always seek God's guidance first.

When I release my pain, it's not projected onto others. Instead, I find my refuge and solace in God, my Source. It's in pouring my heart out on paper or finding quiet solitude with Him that I am truly soothed. This is possible now because I know Him like never before. Before, I didn't understand this connection, and He was patiently waiting for me to find my way. I truly believe our Father in Heaven, knowing the hardships we've faced, blesses us with these animal companions – our dogs who bring such joy, offering their own form of protection, service, and unconditional love. And just as potent is the love of those who have passed on, holding us without us seeing them, always present. For those of us who are receptive, we can be channels for them, letting loved ones know they are cherished, deeply missed, and forever watching over our spirit, not just what our human body does. This sacred bond is a reminder that love transcends the physical, uncorrupted by the choices of others who might dwell in darkness, unaware of the deeper spiritual truths that await.

I think of the promise in Isaiah 66:13: "As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you..." This speaks to a divine comfort so complete, it gives me permission to release. It's knowing that God's compassion is boundless, a reflection that shines through the pure love of certain special people in my life, and yes, through the incredible love of our animal family, and the abiding presence of those who have passed beyond the veil. They create a sacred space for me.

When I trust in that nurturing presence, my pain doesn't just spill out; it gently melts away. This clears space for healing. In that letting go, my heart begins to rejoice, and my spirit starts to flourish, just as promised.

Heavenly Father, we are so grateful for Your unwavering comfort, even in our deepest pains. Thank You for showing us that trusting in Your boundless love allows us to release burdens without projecting them onto others. We pray for continued wisdom to discern true guidance, for hearts open to Your healing touch, and for the grace to find joy and flourish even through life's hardest lessons. May we always lean into Your sacred presence, knowing You are our ultimate refuge. Amen.
