Relationships- “He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed.” Proverbs 13:20 (NKJV)

Q & A?:

Who have you spent time with today? Are they people that are wise and encouraging? Who might need to keep a healthy distance from?

My answer:

Mostly, it feels like I've been on a journey with myself and with God. That quiet connection has been the steady thing, the one that always makes sense. It's been where I find my footing and my encouragement.

Over these years, I've also been lucky to have a few people in my life who are truly wise and who cheer me on. Spending time with them feels like sunshine. They see the good in me and believe in what I'm trying to do. Those connections are precious.

But if I'm really honest, there have also been times and people where things haven't felt so good. Looking back, there are definitely folks I've kept around, or maybe been close to, where the energy just wasn't right. Sometimes it felt like my hopes and dreams weren't really understood or supported. Maybe even a little chipped away at.

Thinking about the last three years, it's clear who those encouraging people are – the ones who lift me. And it's also clearer who I might need to keep a little distance from going forward, not out of bad feelings, but just to protect my own heart and the things I'm trying to build. It's about making sure the space around me is healthy for who I am and what I'm becoming.

Dear God, as I look back over these past three years and consider the people who have walked alongside me, I thank you for the quiet wisdom and constant encouragement I find in your presence. Thank you for the true friends, the wise souls who have lifted my spirit and believed in my path.

Grant me the discernment to recognize those who truly nurture my growth and the gentle strength to create healthy boundaries where needed. Help me to protect the dreams and aspirations you have placed within my heart, keeping them safe from energies that might diminish them.

May I continue to surround myself with light and encouragement, and may my path be guided by your wisdom and love. Amen.
