The Angel Says!!!- "Mary responded, "I am the Lord's servant. May everything you have said about me come true." And then the angel left her." Luke 1: 38 [NLT]
Q & A?:
Are you often your own harshest critic? Take a few moments with a pen and paper and gently explore these questions: What three words truly capture the essence of you? What three words might someone else use to describe the person they see? And finally, what three words resonate with how your spirit, your deepest self connected to the Divine, might perceive you? As you pen these reflections, may every positive affirmation you speak into existence blossom into reality.
My Answer:
For myself, the journey of self-reflection often brings me face-to-face with my own critical voice. There's been a deep-seated desire within me for perfection in all things, a longing that, in its pursuit, often left me feeling perpetually unsatisfied. The truth I've come to embrace is that true perfection, in its rigid form, is fleeting. It may shimmer for a moment, but lasting contentment lies in surrender, in releasing the need for flawless outcomes and trusting in a higher guidance.
When I quiet the inner critic, the words that rise to describe me are: confident, in my spirit's journey; loving, in the way I strive to connect with others; and spiritually outspoken, in my willingness to share the truths I've come to know.
Looking through the eyes of another, I hope they see me as outspoken, yes, but with a heart rooted in kindness, and radiating a sense of happiness that comes from inner peace.
And in the gaze of the Divine, the way I yearn to be seen is as forgiving, both of myself and others; as humble, recognizing the vastness of the universe and my place within it; and eternally protected by a love that knows no bounds.
May all the beautiful affirmations we speak about ourselves and each other take root and flourish in our lives.
May each and every one of you continue to dwell in His radiant light and boundless love. May you always feel divinely protected and guided, receiving the precise lessons and wisdom needed to navigate your path with grace and strength. In the embrace of the Divine, Amen.
